Ferronato Shen - Executive Director
A skilled and knowledgeable horsewoman with a diverse background, what seems to stand out for people the most when working with Ferronato (besides her hair) is her ability to quickly get to the heart of a problem or training issue. She has an honest, open, and very straightforward approach to solving problems and improving a rider’s skill and confidence. Her years as an equine massage therapist and body worker give her an added insight.
Ferronato's style redefines the horse/human relationship by acting as an interpreter on behalf of the horse. Ferronato is able to customize a training program that not only improves performance, but enhances the overall well-being of the horse. She combines her training knowledge with massage and nutrition, along with consultations from top dental, naturopathic, and chiropractic practitioners, as well as experts in the field of corrective shoeing.

Rachel Nelson - Business Manager
Rachel joined Three Treasures Farms as Business Manager in the summer of 2009, organizing the non-profit's relocation to the Eugene area.
Rachel attended Southern Oregon University, in Ashland, where she majored in Theater; her primary area of study was costume and accessories, but she also enjoyed learning set design and scene painting. After college, she spent many years in the corporate world, in Client Services and as an Office Manager. In 2006 she returned to her artistic roots and since that time has been self-employed as a jewelry designer and artisan. She has also been interested in alternative healing since high school, and has studied many different healing modalities.
Thanks to her background, Rachel brings an unusual assortment of skills with her. In addition to managing the financial side of the business and helping to guide the non-profit toward its long-term goals, she also designs the sets and costumes for the horses for our special events, offers her healing skills to our rescue horses, and pitches in when needed as a stall cleaner and hay bucker, which she says is much better exercise and more enjoyable than a gym membership!
